- 5-8 years of work experience in Risk management within Fintech/Banking
- Proficient in SQL, Experience with Python
- A standout colleague with the ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organization
- Ability to express concepts in concise fashion both in writing (policy writing experience is preferred) and verbally. Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous subject area like engineering, statistics, math, finance, economics, computer science desired
- Proven understanding of risk fundamentals (experience with both consumer and business risk management practices, an understanding of industry risk trends)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to lead multiple projects and priorities in parallel
- In collaboration with Machine Learning, Growth Analytics and Finance team develop and continually refine robust forecasting for the backbook incorporating impact from strategy modifications being implemented by Risk, Machine Learning, and Product
- Develop and implement the feedback loop with Frontbook Risk Strategy, Backbook Risk Strategy, Provisions, and Product based on observed backbook performance in combination with the macroeconomic outlook
- Develop, implement, and evolve repayment and modification tools strategies and policies
- Development and implementation of the monitoring framework, provisions, and bureau furnishing for the backbook for international division of Affirm
