Infrastructure Generalist

We seek talented Infrastructure Generalists to build, evolve and maintain the core infrastructure that underpins and protects Xantium’s technology environment.  Those in this role are versatile problem solvers capable of working with leaders in Xantium’s Security, Engineering, and Operations teams.

Infrastructure Generalists operate in a greenfield, high-performance environment where their decisions can have both immediate and long-term impacts.

Key Responsibilities May Include

• Building and maintaining infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
• Owning system configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting across endpoints, servers, and services.
• Defining and running experiments to improve performance, reliability, and system design.
• Understanding latest state-of-the-art solutions and identifying fresh ideas to propose to senior leadership
• Driving architectural decisions that support growth and operational resilience.

Requirements

• Track record of academic and professional achievement.
• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering within complex environments.
• Deep understanding of how computers, operating systems, and networks work.
• Strong ability to reason from first principles and debug unfamiliar systems.
• Proven ability to experiment thoughtfully and apply learnings to real systems.
• Pragmatic, high-ownership mindset with clear and structured thinking.
