Requirements
  • 7+ years in the software development industry within a fast-paced tech environment
  • 2+ years experience in managing engineering teams within a Java environment
  • Expertise in Core Java, web services, queueing and streaming frameworks, REST APIs and SQL/PostgreSQL
  • Good understanding of building frontend applications leveraging well established frameworks such as React, Typescript, Vue.js
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Exceptional communicator who can clearly explain technical concepts to non-engineers
  • Comfortable with hands-on work in our codebase
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineers, data engineers, and other key stakeholders within Adyen
  • Craft a long-term vision for your team's product together with your product counterpart
  • Exhibit leadership and inspire your team members, acting as a catalyst by coaching in areas such as engineering best practices, scalable architecture design, and product roadmap planning
  • Establish clear individual and team objectives that harmonize with Adyen's strategic data and engineering ambitions
  • Cultivate an inspirational and collaborative team environment characterized by open communication and a culture of constructive feedback
  • Lead the recruitment of new team members who embody the Adyen culture and possess the requisite skills to make meaningful contributions
  • Collaborate with different teams to design and implement new features, considering reliability, infrastructure, data, and development needs
