About the job
- Experience in housekeeping, ideally in a school or institutional environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, hygiene standards, and floor maintenance.
- Familiarity with WHMIS and safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, bending, and frequent walking.
- Perform general cleaning of classrooms, corridors, offices, library, cafeteria, restrooms, locker rooms, and multipurpose rooms.
- Sweep, wash, and wax floors according to approved methods.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, switches, desks, and handrails.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, including disinfection and replenishment of supplies.
- Empty and replace garbage and recycling bins.
- Properly operate custodial equipment, including an automatic floor scrubber, industrial vacuum, and floor polisher.
- Use cleaning products in accordance with WHMIS regulations.
- Report damage, required repairs, or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow emergency procedures, health and safety rules, and school policies.
- Housekeeping experience in a school or institutional environment.

Sodexo has signed an agreement to acquire CRH Catering, a leading convenience sector operator in the Mid-Atlantic U.S., to enhance its InReach convenience offering.
