Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture on adult and pediatric patients.
  • Provide patients with educational instructions regarding laboratory testing collection procedures and testing requirements.
  • Work with outside laboratories and communicate in a manner that supports clinic and laboratory professionalism and comfortable phlebotomy.
  • Contribute to a team-based approach supporting the Patient Centered Medical Home.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
