About the job
- A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Two years of work experience in public accounting or a closely related occupation.
- Experience preparing individual tax returns for clients.
- Experience filing corporate tax returns for LLCs, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and nonprofits.
- Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software.
- Perform schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculate depreciation expense.
- Work within given budgetary parameters and assist staff in prioritizing and managing their workload.
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including multi-state company and consolidated returns for affiliated groups.
- Create business financial statements by analyzing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and adjusting journal entries.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with tax law.
