- A high school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education is required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Assist medical and nursing staff with the care and treatment of emergency adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Perform general clerical reception duties as needed.
- One year of experience as an Emergency Department Technician.
- An additional life-support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
