Requirements
  • Two to three years of experience in fabrication, shop, or machinery involved in producing a product.
  • Experience with computer-aided design, including 2D AutoCAD or 3D SolidWorks.
  • Experience with computer numerical control programming or software.
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Two to four years of experience in the mechanical engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • A current valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology as applied to the design and production of overhead crane-related goods and services.
  • Knowledge of mathematics and its applications in engineering.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used to produce technical plans, blueprints, drawings, models, and material specifications.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques used to manufacture and distribute goods effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including identifying issues, comparing data from different sources, and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, set priorities, goals, and timetables to achieve productivity.
  • Ability to participate actively as a member of a team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Responsibilities
  • Create 2D and 3D designs using computer-aided design software to visualize and plan manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Review and validate documentation before release to production, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Input and manage bills of materials within enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Organize and maintain documentation and records for access and reference.
  • Provide manufacturing support to resolve production-related issues, including engineering design challenges, material shortages, and fabrication or assembly difficulties.
  • Develop user manuals for manufactured equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Computer-aided design experience with 2D AutoCAD or 3D SolidWorks.
  • A technical degree.
