About the Job

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and in hardening release pipelines against supply chain attacks.
  • Ability to debug across the full pipeline stack, tracing failures from test runner to artifact store to cluster deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with CI infrastructure such as Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent; GitOps/ArgoCD; and Kubernetes.
  • Use of artificial intelligence to accelerate individual and team work, and understanding of AI's impact on supply chain security and scale.
  • Track record of multi-quarter, cross-organizational ownership: identifying problems, designing solutions, and influencing organizations outside the reporting line to change how they work.
  • Judgment to challenge a prescribed plan when it is inappropriate and credibility to gain alignment on a better approach.
  • Experience directing other engineers toward outcomes by breaking down complex problems into executable work and owning the outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD, from problem identification through organization-wide adoption.
  • Identify CI/CD bottlenecks, sources of friction, or security risks and drive remediation proactively.
  • Design and enforce release gates for supply chain integrity, artifact provenance, and release readiness that scale across teams without reducing engineering velocity.
  • Direct engineers on the team through complex, multi-quarter projects by breaking down architecture, assigning work, and owning outcomes, including distributed execution.
  • Drive technical communication and alignment across teams, and produce documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions.
  • Serve as Incident Commander during high-severity supply chain or release incidents and use incidents to drive structural improvements.
  • Raise engineering standards across the organization through code review, mentorship, design review, and setting standards adopted by others.
  • Review code, prototype approaches, and debug production issues while primarily leveraging the work of others.
