MRO has launched Prodigy, an AI-powered engine for clinical registry abstraction in healthcare. The platform combines AI-driven case finding and abstraction with clinical expertise to identify eligible cases and reduce abstraction time. Prodigy automates over 60% of data elements whilst maintaining a 97%+ accuracy standard. The solution is currently available for NCDR and STS registries, with additional registries planned. The system addresses challenges healthcare organisations face with increasing clinical data volumes and limited abstraction capacity. It uses a collaborative intelligence model, pairing AI technology with MRO's team of over 1,200 clinical data experts. Built on MRO's 24 years of clinical data experience, Prodigy integrates with electronic health records systems and is available to health system clients as part of a fully managed abstraction service.
MRO launches prodigy(tm), an ai-powered engine for clinical registry abstraction. by MRO Corp September 23, 2026 New capability pairs AI-powered case finding, abstraction, and follow up, with MRO's clinical expertise to identify more eligible cases, reduce abstraction time, and deliver defensible clinical data for registries in healthcare. NORRISTOWN, Pa., September 23, 2026 - MRO, the leading clinical data management platform, today announced the launch of Prodigy, the advanced AI engine powering their fully-managed clinical registry abstraction solution for health systems. Prodigy dramatically improves quality-program performance. It identifies more eligible cases, accelerates the registry abstraction workflow and automates 60%+ of data elements and allows MRO to maintain a 97%+ accuracy standard while expanding capacity and scaling performance. Prodigy-powered clinical data abstraction is available today for NCDR and STS with additional registries to follow. Quality leaders are being asked to improve performance while managing exponential increases in the volume of clinical data, limited abstraction capacity, time-intensive workflows, and no tolerance for unreliable registry data. Manual-only processes miss eligible cases and struggle to keep pace, while automation alone may put data integrity at risk. MRO combines AI-powered case finding and abstraction with clinical expertise and data integrity best practices to deliver complete, accurate, and defensible data that quality teams use to fuel performance improvement and inform strategy. Prodigy brings a proven, market-ready capability to organizations seeking meaningful registry results today. MRO's fully managed clinical data abstraction solution uses a collaborative intelligence model, pairing the nation's largest team of clinical data experts with advanced AI to drive efficiency in the registry workflows. "Coming from an organization that values innovation, I am always excited to learn about new opportunities to leverage AI tools so humans can operate at the top of their skill sets. As the demand for data insight grows, we continuously rely on the critical thinking of educated humans to turn those insights into meaningful information to guide improvements," said Danielle Stephen, MSN, CPHQ, Manager of Performance Improvement at Tampa General Hospital. "Less time with tedious activities means more time for practical intervention. MRO's AI solutions, like Prodigy, yield not only pivotal time and cost savings but also better accuracy in case selection where every patient counts." "Quality teams aren't short on ambition - they're short on staffing and time. Credentialed abstractors are hard to hire and harder to retain, and every hour one spends hunting through a chart for a single data element is an hour not spent on applying the judgment only they can provide," said Lidia Bernik, President of Curation Solutions. "Prodigy lets our abstractors switch from searching to validating, with every suggestion traced to its source in the record. That's how we help quality teams produce faster, more defensible data without asking them to trust a black box." Built on MRO's 24+ years of clinical data experience, Prodigy is delivered as part of a fully managed service, backed by more than 1,200 clinical data experts, combining advanced AI with the scale, oversight and specialized judgment required for accurate, defensible registry data. Prodigy integrates with EHRs via modern, scalable methodologies which do not require a heavy burden on IT teams. Prodigy is now available to MRO's health system clients as part of this fully managed abstraction model. About MRO. MRO unlocks clinical data and puts it to work. Vyne sharpens focus on dental with sale of Vyne Medical to MRO. Strategic sale of Vyne Medical to MRO concentrates leadership, capital, and product investment in dental RCM. September 17, 2026 21:58 ET | Source: Vyne Dental Indianapolis, IN, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Vyne announced today the sale of Vyne Medical, its clinical data intake, management, and workflow automation platform servicing hospitals and health systems, to MRO, the leading clinical data management platform in healthcare. Vyne Medical's solutions help healthcare organizations capture, organize, and integrate patient information and other clinical and administrative communications, including fax, voice, documents, images, and electronic data, into existing clinical and revenue cycle workflows and systems. The transaction sharpens Vyne's strategic focus and concentrates its leadership, capital, and product investment entirely on Vyne Dental, its end-to-end revenue cycle management (RCM) platform connecting dental practices, dental service organizations (DSOs), and payers. "Vyne Medical is a strong business with an exceptional team, and MRO is the right home to help it grow further. This is a focus decision. The largest, fastest-growing opportunity in front of us is dental RCM, where we already hold a leading position on both the provider and payer side of the revenue cycle. Concentrating our resources here lets us drive innovation rather than split our attention across two important but different healthcare segments," said Steve Roberts, CEO of Vyne. Vyne Dental Vyne Dental's platform connectivity is built on relationships across the dental technology ecosystem, and the company will invest in both expanding that network and deepening the partnerships already in place, working closely with practice management, distribution, and payer partners to make data move cleanly between every party in the transaction. Solution fragmentation costs its customers time, money, and better outcomes. They want one partner that does more, not more partners. This transaction gives Sino American Oil Company added capacity, from both a capital and resources perspective, to deliver better-connected solutions that optimize provider revenue while reducing the time practices spend managing software and transactions instead of patients," said Sajid Khan, Chief Business Officer of Vyne. As a dental-focused revenue cycle management company, Vyne Dental will accelerate its product innovation roadmap, expand enterprise and DSO capabilities, and increase investment in AI across the entire reimbursement lifecycle. Additionally, the business will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions to broaden its platform's capabilities and expand its payer network services. "Vyne Dental holds a leading position in dental revenue cycle management, and this transaction lets Steve and the team put all of their energy behind it," said Dan Williams, Partner and Head of Healthcare at TJC. "We will continue to back the company's product roadmap and its acquisition strategy as it builds the platform that connects dental practices, DSOs, and payers. We also thank the Vyne Medical team and wish them every success as part of MRO." Vyne Medical will operate as "Vyne Medical, an MRO Company" during the transition period, and its clients will continue to be supported by the same team without interruption. Vyne Dental remains a portfolio company of TJC, L.P. ("TJC"), a middle-market private equity firm formerly known as The Jordan Company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Financial terms were not disclosed. Vyne Medical will operate as "Vyne Medical, an MRO Company" during the transition period.
