About the job

Requirements
  • 4–6 years in end-user IT, IT operations, systems engineering, or an MSP environment.
  • Hands-on scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar) and comfort managing configuration as code.
  • Hands-on administration of an IdP (Entra ID or Okta) plus Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
  • MDM experience including policy and compliance management (Hexnode a plus; Intune, Jamf, or Kandji acceptable).
  • Comfortable imaging/provisioning laptops and managing the device lifecycle end to end.
  • Solid working grasp of MFA, SSO/conditional access, VPN, and AVD or a comparable remote-desktop setup.
Responsibilities
  • Engineer the agency-integration experience, don't just run it. Own onboarding, cutover, hypercare, and day-to-day support for acquired agencies as the primary IT point of contact — and continuously convert that work into scripted, repeatable systems so each integration is faster and more hands-off than the last.
  • Manage endpoints and devices as code. Image, enroll, ship, and lifecycle-manage laptops (provisioning through RMA and offboarding retrieval); operate the MDM (Hexnode) day to day, and codify policies, baselines, and compliance remediation instead of clicking through consoles.
  • Automate the identity and access lifecycle. Provision, modify, and deprovision accounts across Entra/Okta, Google Workspace/M365, and core SaaS; run JML workflows with same-day deprovisioning as a non-negotiable, and drive toward automated, HRIS-triggered lifecycle so it happens reliably without manual steps.
  • Turn integration runbooks into repeatable tooling. Take the Infra Engineer's runbooks, schedule and run cutover waves with agency leadership, capture friction, and feed fixes back as automation and version-controlled process; own status comms during rollouts and incidents.
  • Build security hygiene into the system. Enforce endpoint baselines, disk encryption, MFA enrollment, and screen-lock policies through managed, auditable configuration; support phishing reporting and basic user security education; flag anomalies (impossible travel, unmanaged devices, shadow IT) to Security/Infra; keep HIPAA-aware habits by default.
Desired Qualifications
  • Config-as-code / IaC tooling for identity or endpoints (e.g., Terraform, Okta Workflows, Entra Lifecycle Workflows, or Intune-as-code).
  • Experience supporting a HIPAA or otherwise regulated environment.
  • Multi-tenant, MSP, or M&A / agency-integration IT experience.
  • Hexnode and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) specifically.

Gyde acquires Capstone Benefits Consulting to expand ai-native employee benefits platform.

Gyde acquires Capstone Benefits Consulting to expand ai-native employee benefits platform. ET By Editorial Team October 8, 2026 Gyde, the leading AI-native brokerage platform, announced it has acquired Capstone Benefits Consulting, an Atlanta-area employee benefits firm known for pairing enterprise-grade technology and analytics with hands-on, boutique-style client service. This marks Gyde's first acquisition in the employee benefits space, extending its AI-native platform beyond Medicare and individual and family plans into group health and benefits consulting. Capstone's Managing Principal Reed Damron remains Capstone's leader and becomes a Gyde Partner. Vice President of Sales Renie Cochran and the rest of the Capstone team will spearhead growth in this next chapter. For over a decade, Capstone has built its reputation on a simple premise: employers shouldn't have to choose between the capabilities of a national broker and the attentiveness of a boutique shop. Capstone serves employer groups, most of which range from 25- to 250-employee accounts, as well as larger groups in sectors they know well. That combination has helped Capstone win exclusive benefits partnerships and business across the state of Georgia and beyond. Capstone recently became broker of record for the Georgia Pharmacy Association benefits program, winning the account from a national incumbent on the strength of its advisory services to member pharmacies, backed by Gyde's technology. As part of Gyde's growing network of partner agencies, Capstone will use Gyde's AI platform to give its consultants more room to do the strategic, relationship-driven work that has defined the firm, while automating the administrative aspects of renewal, enrollment, compliance, and service workflows that consume time as client rosters grow. As the first employee benefits partner, its advisors will have first access and a voice to shape Gyde's group benefits AI solutions. "We are delighted to welcome Reed and his team to Gyde today. They built something rare: a firm that can go toe-to-toe with the biggest players on technology and data, without losing the personal relationships that make a benefits consultancy actually work for the people it serves," said Will Johnson, Co-Founder and CEO of Gyde. "We look forward to partnering with Reed and the Capstone team as we bring our platform to market to serve not only employer clients but also their employees." "When we looked at our options to build Capstone's next chapter, we knew we needed a different kind of partner that would embrace our culture and help us capitalize on what makes our team special," said Reed Damron, Managing Principal, Capstone Benefits Consulting and Gyde Partner. "What we found in Gyde was experience, technology, and economics that were simply unmatched by anyone else in the space." "Capstone has already proven it can out-tech the small agencies and out-service the large brokers. Their recent wins in Georgia are proof of what that combination can deliver," said Sam Wiener, Co-Founder and COO of Gyde. "We always envisioned Gyde transforming brokerages across the insurance lines that cover the most Americans, including small group. So we're thrilled to welcome Capstone to show how our platform can enhance advisor productivity and deliver an exceptional experience for employers and their teams." Capstone will continue to operate under the Capstone Benefits Consulting brand, presented as "powered by Gyde." Day-to-day operations, carrier relationships, and existing client and vendor partnerships remain unchanged. Capstone is Gyde's seventh acquisition in seven months since it announced $60 million in funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners in early 2026.

Gyde adds first employee benefits firm in seven-month acquisition run

Gyde adds first employee benefits firm in seven-month acquisition run. The Austin-based AI platform has now completed seven deals since its $60 million launch in January 07 Oct 2026 Gyde, an Austin, Texas-based AI brokerage platform, has acquired Capstone Benefits Consulting, an Atlanta-area employee benefits firm. The deal marks Gyde's first move into group health and benefits consulting and its seventh acquisition since the company launched with $60 million in funding in January 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Capstone's managing principal Reed Damron stays on as leader and becomes a Gyde partner. The rest of the Capstone team remains in place. The firm will also continue operating under its own brand, presented as "powered by Gyde." A different kind of acquisition model. Gyde's approach is acquisition-as-distribution rather than acquisition-as-consolidation. It buys agencies and leaves them largely intact, investing in AI infrastructure to automate renewal, enrollment, compliance, and service workflows while keeping the advisor relationships and carrier contracts in place. The stated goal is to free consultants from administrative load so they can focus on client work. The Capstone deal includes one concrete commercial proof point: Capstone recently won the broker-of-record role for the Georgia Pharmacy Association benefits program, displacing a national incumbent. Gyde's technology is cited as part of what made that pitch competitive. A pattern playing out across the market. The acquisition lands in a benefits brokerage market undergoing visible consolidation around AI infrastructure. In August 2026, Alliant Insurance Services agreed to acquire Nava Benefits, a New York-based employee benefits broker that had raised $90 million and built a proprietary technology platform. WTW also completed its acquisition of technology-forward broker Newfront in January 2026, disclosing consideration of up to $1.3 billion. Gallagher Re's Q1 2026 InsurTech Report found that 95.2% of global insurtech funding went to AI-focused companies. That concentration is reshaping where capital lands and which firms get acquired. The consolidation is also changing employer expectations. Zywave's 2026 Broker Services Survey found that AI adoption has entered the top reasons employers say they would switch brokers for the first time, alongside a record-high expectation that brokers act as strategic advisors rather than transaction processors. That shift puts independent benefits firms in a position where the question is not simply whether to adopt AI tools, but whether to do so alone or inside a platform.

BenaVest and Gyde bring AI tools to health insurance Agents and Agencies for renewals, client support, and cross-selling.

BenaVest and Gyde bring AI tools to health insurance Agents and Agencies for renewals, client support, and cross-selling. September 01, 2026, 16:00 GMT Gyde's AI platform helps insurance agents streamline renewals, client servicing, cross-selling, and daily operations. Through Gyde's AI-powered technology, we're helping our agents spend less time on repetitive administrative work and more time focusing on the conversations and relationships that matter most." - Joe Gannon, CEO of BenaVest HOLLYWOOD, FL, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - BenaVest is expanding AI-powered support for its insurance agents and agencies through Gyde's newly launched renewals AI solution, designed to help brokers manage client renewals, servicing, and growth during the upcoming 2027 Medicare and Individual and Family Plan enrollment seasons. With more consumers expected to review coverage due to changes to premiums, benefits, and plan availability, renewal season can place significant pressure on an agent's ability to renew their existing book of business. Gyde 's renewals AI combines automated client outreach, needs assessments, plan-disruption analysis, scheduling, and AI-assisted client servicing to help BenaVest agents renew, serve, and grow their book of business more efficiently. The goal is to reduce time spent on repetitive renewal and admin work while giving agents more capacity for personalized client conversations, new enrollments, retention, and appropriate cross-selling opportunities. "Renewal season is one of the busiest times of the year for insurance professionals, and agents need tools that help them manage their book without sacrificing client service or growth," said Joe Gannon, CEO of BenaVest. "Through Gyde's AI-powered technology, we're helping our agents spend less time on repetitive administrative work and more time focusing on the conversations and relationships that matter most." AI-Powered Support Throughout the Renewal Process Gyde's renewals AI expands the capabilities of its AI platform, GydeOS, and Gia, its intelligent assistant, to support brokers throughout the renewal process. Starting September 15, Gia will conduct needs-assessment outreach by texting clients on behalf of participating brokers. This outreach can help identify changes in a client's circumstances, including demographic, health, and finances, before clients make renewal decisions. Once 2027 plan information is officially available, Gyde's AI platform can provide plan-disruption analysis that helps brokers review year-over-year changes affecting their clients. This may include changes in: - Plan availability and terminations - Service areas - Premiums - Deductibles and copays - Prescription drug coverage - Benefits and allowances By combining this information with client needs assessment responses, brokers can more efficiently identify which clients may benefit from a coverage review and match them to the best plan. More Time for Client Service and Growth When enrollment periods begin, Gia can help communicate plan changes affecting clients and support the next step in the renewal process, including confirming a passive renewal or helping schedule a plan review with the broker. This allows agents to begin the day with more organized client context and scheduled conversations, helping them focus their time on clients who may need additional guidance. The time saved through automation can also create more capacity for new enrollments, retention efforts, and cross-selling conversations across products such as dental, vision, supplemental coverage, Medicare, and other available solutions. After enrollment, Gia also follows up with newly enrolled clients, including confirming payments and addressing common servicing questions. AI Support for Everyday Client Questions Gia also acts as a broker copilot by helping agents answer questions related to plans, benefits, formularies, and provider networks. The system ingests official carrier plan documents and provides citations for each response, so brokers feel confident in Gia's answers. They can locate relevant details in plan documents in seconds during client conversations. For BenaVest agents and agencies, these tools add another layer of technology to the organization's existing carrier access, contracting support, training, and broker resources. "Our focus is on giving our agents the tools they need to succeed in what will be one of the most disruptive renewal seasons we've ever seen," Gannon added. "This year our agents will have a more efficient renewals workflow backed by world-class AI tools so they can spend more of their time providing the personalized guidance, judgment, and service that clients rely on." Supporting BenaVest Agents and Agencies BenaVest agents and agencies continue to have access to nationwide carrier contracting opportunities, training resources through InsureUniversity, broker support, and technology designed to help them operate more efficiently. The addition of Gyde's renewals AI further supports agents by helping streamline renewal preparation, client communication, servicing, and growth opportunities during one of the most demanding periods of the insurance year.
