About the job
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 6 years of hands-on software testing experience focused on web and mobile applications is required.
- At least 3 years of experience coordinating and overseeing other Test Analysts' work, including mentoring and providing expertise on test processes and best practices, is required.
- Proficiency implementing and maintaining test automation using Selenium, Cypress, Java, Katalon, and JavaScript is required, along with exposure to mobile app cloud testing.
- Experience in API automation using tools such as REST Assured, Karate, and Postman is required.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar is required.
- Hands-on test automation experience using Android Studio, Xcode, cross-device testing, or similar tools is required.
- Experience with Jira is required.
- Technical troubleshooting skills, including log file analysis and basic data analysis, are required.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS to facilitate testing in cloud environments is required.
- Excellent collaboration skills to engage in internal and external technical discussions are required.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Ability to work under competing deadlines is required.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and test data aligned with project goals.
- Oversee test case execution across various testing types, monitor progress, identify defects, track test coverage, and generate reports and metrics to assess software quality.
- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve test automation solutions for applications, web, or APIs.
- Drive automation initiatives and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Triage and prioritize defects based on severity and impact, track the defect lifecycle, and coordinate with development teams to resolve them.
- Analyze defect trends to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Continuously evaluate testing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement testing methodologies or tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and support team members in automation practices that enhance the testing process.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients; manage expectations and address concerns related to testing activities; and provide regular updates on test progress and quality status.
- ISTQB Foundation testing certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience coordinating testing activities across multiple release cycles is preferred.
- Previous experience with financial or banking products is preferred.
