Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a quality assurance professional, tester, software development engineer in test, or similar role, with strong expertise in mobile testing.
  • Experience building and owning a mobile test automation framework, including architecture, continuous integration integration, and flaky test mitigation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Appium and WebdriverIO.
  • Solid TypeScript proficiency.
  • Experience testing REST APIs, ideally with Playwright or similar tools.
  • Experience setting up and using cloud device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or similar continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools, such as Claude, to support test automation work.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and primary technical owner.
  • Experience testing applications that handle sensitive personal or payment data.
Responsibilities
  • Build and own a mobile user-interface test automation framework using Appium and WebdriverIO with TypeScript for iOS and Android.
  • Extend the existing Playwright application programming interface test suite to cover backend data sources.
  • Set up and manage cloud device testing infrastructure for iOS and Android.
  • Define testing processes, regression strategy, and release-readiness standards for mobile applications.
  • Work with the mobile development team on testability and quality standards.
  • Align mobile testing practices with the broader quality assurance organization.
  • Apply testing practices suited to sensitive personal and payment data.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to support test design, automation, and coverage of artificial-intelligence-assisted application development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in travel technology or complex platform ecosystems.
  • Experience testing React Native applications.
