Requirements
- Experience installing, routing, terminating, labeling, and testing copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Experience supporting servers, network devices, and storage systems through physical-layer infrastructure work.
- Proficiency in maintaining organized cable management systems.
- Ability to read network diagrams and follow TIA/EIA and BICSI industry standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot physical connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of patch panel configuration, cross-connects, cable tracing, and documentation updates within data center infrastructure management systems.
- Ability to adhere to safety, security, and change management protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform structured cabling, rack and stack, and physical-layer infrastructure work in enterprise and hyperscale data center environments.
- Install, route, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Maintain cable management systems to support airflow, performance, and scalability.
- Perform troubleshooting on physical connectivity issues.
- Configure patch panels, manage cross-connects, and trace cables.
- Update documentation within data center infrastructure management systems.
- Support infrastructure deployments and help minimize downtime.
