Requirements
  • Knowledge of medical diagnostic sonography, usually obtained by graduating from a Committee on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
  • Registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, patients' family members, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and clinical assessments while performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Ensure optimal diagnostic results through the production of high-quality clinical images.
  • Rotate between the Croton and Cortlandt Manor locations and work a flexible weekday schedule.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in breast and general ultrasound.
  • Prior ultrasound technologist experience in a hospital setting.
  • At least two years of breast ultrasound experience.
