  • Strong Python skills, with experience building APIs or backend services.
  • Practical experience with React (or an equivalent modern frontend framework), building production user interfaces.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native architecture.
  • Comfortable working with SQL and reasoning about data models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous requirements into a clear technical plan.

  • Experience working in a small or fast-moving engineering team, ideally building internal tools or platforms.
  • Experience contributing to the consolidation or re-architecture of multiple applications into a single platform.
  • Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) as part of a disciplined engineering workflow, with the ability to critically review, test and take full ownership of AI-generated code.
  • An interest in or awareness of the intelligence, OSINT, security or investigations space.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or reviewing others' code.

What believers are saying

  • Omnix Medical's November 2025 partnership funds OMN6, a WHO-priority antibiotic program.
  • Prevail added MAIA in June 2025, showing continued access to public biotech financings.
  • Hemogenyx's October 2024 follow-on shows Prevail can re-up behind the same issuer.

What critics are saying

  • Public portfolio names like MAIA face recurring dilution after March 2026 equity raises.
  • Hemogenyx needs £15.6 million through 2028, exposing Prevail to financing failure.
  • If portfolio trials miss endpoints, Prevail's whole capital-plus-CRO model loses credibility.

What makes Prevail unique

  • Prevail pairs capital with Prevail InfoWorks CRO services, compressing trial execution.
  • Its 2025-2026 deals targeted clinical-stage biotechs like Omnix Medical and Hemogenyx.
  • The fund markets itself on proprietary selection and fixed-timeline value creation.

Triple Hair Raises $4M

A pharmaceutical startup aiming to treat Androgenetic Alopecia, a type of genetic hair loss, has raised a $4 million funding round that included the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation.Founded in 2013 by Dr. Houfar Sekhavat and pharmacist Peter Ford, Dieppe, N.B.-based Triple Hair also received approval from European regulators to start the final stage of trials for its flagship prescription spray, Therapy-07, earlier this month. In a statement, Triple Hair said the money will go towards funding that research, with Health Canada approval for the trials having been granted last summer.Alongside NBIF, the other main investors in the round were Prevail Partners, a life sciences fund out of Philadelphia, and the Quebec government through its Impulse PME equity funding program. In its own statement, NBIF said its share of the raise amounted to $200,000.“This is an important milestone for Triple Hair, both in terms of securing funding and the recognition of the potential value of Therapy-07 by reputable financial institutions,” said CEO Jean-Philippe Gravel. “These funds will notably enable us to prepare the Phase III clinical trials planned for Therapy-07.”Androgenic Alopecia can affect both men and women, but is marked by a gradual thinning of the hair that begins in the centre of the head, unlike typical male-pattern baldness, which starts at the forehead and temples. The condition is genetic and caused by the body having an excessive response to androgens — sex hormones.Previous testing by Triple Hair has suggested Therapy-07 could produce significant hair regrowth in about four-fifths of patients, while established market leaders like Rogaine typically aim to halt hair loss, but do not reliably regrow it
