About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field is required.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is required, with a direct focus on gross-to-net finance, commercial forecasting, or market access analytics.
  • Proven experience working with massive longitudinal datasets and healthcare data aggregators such as IQVIA, Symphony, and Managed Markets Insights is required.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain dynamic forecasting models to project gross-to-net discount reserves, pipeline accruals, and erosion percentages, including channel mix and discount rate predictions, for every major planning cycle.
  • Analyze and forecast complex discount streams, including commercial rebates, Medicare Part D coverage gaps, Managed Medicaid rebates, 340B discounts, and patient copay assistance cards.
  • Run predictive simulations to analyze the financial impact of healthcare policy updates, inflation penalties, and pipeline drug launches on overall gross-to-net health.
  • Work closely with Pre-Deal groups to understand and highlight overall gross-to-net impact.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting during month-end and quarter-end close cycles to evaluate forecast-to-actual variances and adjust balance sheet accrual strategies.
  • Manage and optimize the pipeline true-up process by tracking delayed payer utilization data against historical accrual assumptions to prevent financial line-item surprises.
  • Collaborate with the Government Pricing team to monitor how commercial contract updates alter Medicaid Best Price, Average Manufacturer Price, and 340B results, and factor these shifts into the core gross-to-net model.
  • Validate and clean massive longitudinal datasets and healthcare data streams, including IQVIA, Symphony, and internal rebate systems, to ensure forecasting model inputs are accurate.
  • Serve as the central financial hub connecting Pricing and Contracting, Brand Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Data and Analytics, and Government Pricing.
  • Translate data models into clear visual narratives for budget and forecast updates and drive strategic risk and opportunity discussions.
  • Ensure all forecasting processes adhere to internal financial controls, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and accounting standards for revenue recognition.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is highly preferred.
  • A CPA or CFA designation is highly preferred.
