Requirements
  • Current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse licensure for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant licensure for Physician Assistants.
  • A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • National certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and eligibility for Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
  • Effective interdisciplinary collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills, and clinical expertise in caring for patients undergoing vascular surgical procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Basic computer knowledge and basic personal computer skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provide independent and collaborative medical and surgical management throughout the continuum of inpatient and outpatient care at Harborview Medical Center.
  • Work on a dedicated vascular surgery interprofessional team with established Advanced Practice Providers, physicians, vascular surgeons, nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide a full spectrum of care for vascular surgery patients.
  • Participate in educating nursing and resident staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and process improvement activities for the Division of Vascular Surgery.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Engage in teaching, research, and service as a University of Washington faculty member.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior vascular surgery experience is strongly preferred.
  • Motivated new graduates with relevant vascular surgical training backgrounds may be considered with an extended onboarding period.
