Requirements
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to manage a crew professionally, with previous experience in maintenance and engineering, especially electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including occasionally lifting or moving more than 100 pounds and working alongside a crew during physical tasks.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather, extreme cold, electrical shock risks, and moderate noise.
  • Five or more years of engineering experience, including two or more years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, pools, commercial laundry equipment, and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties of all Facilities Engineers.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving history, and possession of the license while working.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new maintenance and construction projects, including inspections, contracted work, vendors, operations, supply requisitions, preventive-maintenance compliance, work-order completion, inspections, and quality of completed work.
  • Perform general maintenance and oversee facilities office operations, office procedures, and guest service.
  • Lead procedure and work-instruction documentation to support operational efficiency and growth.
  • Participate hands-on in daily office activities and ensure projects are completed as required.
  • Coordinate the maintenance office staff and work with the maintenance team to uphold organizational values and standards of behavior.
  • Perform internal training on protocols, procedures, and other required areas.
  • Maintain detailed status updates for assigned projects and coordinate follow-up as needed.
  • Assist departments with requested projects.
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviors and build trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Perform team-member duties when staff members are absent.
  • Maintain par stock of commonly used items and report needed orders to the Director of Facilities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations to maintain quality, standards, and guest expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Report daily activities to the Director of Facilities.
  • Supervise Facility Engineering staff and contractors under the direction of the Director of Facilities.
