Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Knowledge Graph technologies such as Resource Description Framework, SPARQL, labeled property graphs, SHACL, Web Ontology Language, graph query languages, schema design, ontology management, and Knowledge Graph curation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in schema design, ontology management, semantic modeling, taxonomy management, metadata management, and Knowledge Graph curation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience designing and developing Knowledge Graph solutions and graph-based machine learning models across functional and technical workstreams.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience implementing end-to-end data pipelines for artificial intelligence applications, especially large language model-enabled or enterprise knowledge applications, with hands-on design and configuration.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with relational databases, object stores, graph databases such as Stardog, Neo4j, Amazon Neptune or equivalent, and vector databases.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team or workstream within a larger program.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, research, product, domain, client-facing, and cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
  • Hands-on experience building Amazon Web Services-based knowledge engineering solutions with Amazon Neptune, S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Athena, OpenSearch, Bedrock, SageMaker, IAM, Step Functions, and cloud-native application programming interfaces, monitoring, and security services.
  • Strong Python experience with frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, PySpark, SQL, SPARQL, SHACL, Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi, and extract, transform, and load or extract, load, and transform pipeline tooling.
  • Practical knowledge of natural language processing and search techniques including entity extraction, entity resolution, semantic search, prompt engineering, large language model grounding, and enterprise-scale large language model applications.
  • The ability to design and implement scalable graph ingestion, ontology and schema pipelines, semantic layers, vector search and retrieval patterns, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and governed knowledge services.
  • Strong collaboration, technical leadership, delivery ownership, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Design and structure knowledge frameworks that enable artificial intelligence systems to reason and make informed decisions.
  • Capture and translate expert and unstructured knowledge into ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic models, ensuring accuracy and context for automation and insights.
  • Apply advanced analytics on knowledge graphs to drive problem-solving and actionable insights.
  • Engineer Amazon Web Services-based knowledge engineering solutions using services such as Amazon Neptune, S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Athena, OpenSearch, Bedrock, SageMaker, IAM, Step Functions, application programming interfaces, and monitoring and security services.
  • Build graph ingestion pipelines, semantic data products, vector integrations, large language model grounding layers, application programming interfaces, and governed access patterns on Amazon Web Services while improving performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead the build of Knowledge Graph solutions that transform client data architecture within a large program scope.
  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of artificial intelligence, semantic layer, ontology, taxonomy, schema, graph modeling, and knowledge curation solutions, ensuring all components work together seamlessly.
  • Work with project leaders, delivery leads, client stakeholders, architects, data engineers, artificial intelligence engineers, product teams, and domain subject-matter experts to create graph-powered data and artificial intelligence offerings.
  • Develop client relationships, advise stakeholders, and explain the business value of semantic layer, ontology, and knowledge graph solutions.
  • Make the business case for recommended semantic layer solutions and contribute to sales, pre-sales, estimation, proposal inputs, and solution-shaping activities.
  • Provide thought leadership on technology trends, innovation opportunities, limitations, risks, delivery concerns, and practical adoption of knowledge graphs, semantic artificial intelligence, large language model grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic systems.
  • Design, evaluate, and maintain ontologies, schemas, standards, and reusable engineering patterns while guiding teams on data model quality and implementation methods.
  • Lead a team or workstream within a larger program, mentor engineers, review designs, code, and configurations, and guide adoption of new methodologies, model-building techniques, and algorithms.
  • Collaborate across business and technical teams to drive end-to-end delivery for the assigned scope and demonstrate value to business and technology stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, with AWS specialization and exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform in multi-cloud environments.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence Specialty, or related credentials.
  • Industry experience in banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, public sector, or life sciences, including domain ontologies, data models, compliance needs, and knowledge-driven use cases.
  • External client-facing consulting experience, proposal support, solution shaping, or pre-sales exposure.
  • An advanced degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, with broad exposure to diverse machine learning techniques and agentic systems.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
