About the job
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Candidates should have at least 3–5 years of occupational safety experience in a manufacturing environment; this experience is preferred.
- Experience developing and implementing safety programs.
- Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and other OSHA and safety regulations, including state- or regional-specific requirements.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued but not required.
- Ability to train and communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
- Ability to conduct industrial hygiene surveys and air and noise testing.
- Ability to research regulations and apply them to industrial equipment and operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and provide technical and regulatory support on health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Complete facility inspections and site assessments.
- Develop site-specific safety programs and procedures.
- Conduct employee safety and environmental training.
- Lead safety committee meetings.
- Perform compliance audits, periodic training, and routine facility inspections to identify areas of concern.
- Prepare agendas and follow-up reports for client contacts before and after each visit.
- Develop, write, and edit OSHA-compliant programs, providing updated versions to clients through the EHS Gateway platform.
- Facilitate safety committee and emergency response team meetings.
- Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and related testing for air and noise.
- Manage daily activities and tasks using the company’s internal software, MS Dynamics/PSA.
- Research regulations and apply them to industrial equipment and operations.
- Perform applicability assessments and collect data with the Environmental Division.
- Complete assigned special projects, including lockout/tagout procedure development, Job Hazard Assessment development, and Department of Transportation/Resource Conservation and Recovery Act seminars.
- Visit assigned clients on site, including local and out-of-region travel.
- Experience developing and implementing safety programs, as stated as a candidate qualification.
