Requirements
  • Completed vocational training as a medical assistant, optionally with further training as a specialist administrator or comparable qualification, or qualification as a health and nursing professional.
  • Ideally, professional experience in a pneumological and internal-medicine setting.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Approachable and cooperative interaction with patients, their relatives, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Good English-language skills are advantageous.
  • Compliance with applicable proof obligations under the Infection Protection Act is required as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the internal and external contact for admissions and bed planning and coordinate these processes on the pneumology and respiratory-medicine wards.
  • Communicate with referring and subsequent-treatment physicians and cooperation partners as part of patient care.
  • Support physicians with case and length-of-stay management, including admission and discharge processes and issuing prescriptions as part of discharge management.
  • Supervise trainees during the hospital's internal rotation program.
  • Organize prior findings and reports, communicate with medical practices, process requests for findings, perform blood draws, place peripheral intravenous catheters, and support the video consultation service.
  • Prepare for and assist with medical interventions, such as punctures.
  • Communicate with relatives and social services regarding non-medical matters.
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration within the pneumological internal-medicine wards and outpatient clinics.
  • Monitor and organize the smooth execution of diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
  • Support and provide cover for the consultation-hours and organization team.
