Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area such as healthcare administration, business administration, or human resources management is required.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in health-system leadership and management is required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and/or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee union relations, including contract negotiations and ongoing grievance management.
  • Use advanced skills across all aspects of the human resources life cycle.
  • Provide an experience and environment of patient- and family-centered care.
  • Interpret the impact of broad-scope organizational change for staff and develop change strategies for successful implementation.
  • Incorporate Copley Hospital's vision, mission, and values into Human Resources goals and programs.
  • Develop and manage operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Formulate objectives, goals, and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward annual goals and objectives, including performance related to finance, clinical activity, quality, safety, marketing, and human resources.
  • Create and maintain a workplace that fosters professional growth and job satisfaction for members of the healthcare team.
  • Interview candidates to select top talent and match Human Resources needs with appropriate skill sets.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies that support a culture of leadership.
  • Identify and address professional growth needs.
  • Assess manager and staff development needs, identify goals, and provide resources.
  • Ensure integration of ethical standards and core values into everyday work activities.
  • Communicate with physicians, academic department leaders, and senior administrators to maintain coordination with other Copley Hospital programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience implementing new human resources information systems and time-and-attendance systems.
  • Project management experience in Human Resources and time-and-attendance systems implementation.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant subject area.
