Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology and therefore registry eligible
  • NJ DEP license required upon hire
  • Current BLS
  • Current ARRT - American Registry Radiologic Technologists License
  • Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License
Responsibilities
  • Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery to include but not limited to oncology, vascular and trauma.
  • Must be able to assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist.
  • Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies; Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
  • Stays current and participates departmental training offered; Maintains licensure
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior; provides good customer service to co-workers and customers
  • Participates in clinical activities such as assisting with patient flow/care and helping optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport
  • Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications
  • Adheres to Departmental procedures and fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements
Desired Qualifications
  • 1-2 year of Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology preferred
