Requirements
  • MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience designing analog/digital circuits
  • Experience on high speed (>50GHz) digital circuits design
  • Understanding of the PHY layer & NIC
  • Knowledge of system level design on co-packaged optics, optical interconnect
  • Knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols
  • Hands-on experience with analog mixed-signal (AMS) IC development
  • Experience with Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits
  • Proficient in coding languages like Python, Matlab, or C
Responsibilities
  • Architecting and designing high-speed mixed-signal communication circuits
  • Simulation, verification, evaluation, debugging, and characterization of high-speed communication transceiver chip sets
  • IC layout and silicon characterization
  • Prepare test methods and specifications
  • Assist in preparation of application information, data sheets, and demo boards
  • Develop solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Routine communication with groups inside & outside Applied Materials
  • Present information and participate in work groups
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements
  • Solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives
  • Communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others
