Requirements
  • MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience designing analog/digital circuits.
  • Experience on high speed (>50GHz) digital circuits design (e.g.,SerDes, counters, dividers, etc.) with Cu medium and solid substrates.
  • Understanding of the PHY layer & NIC is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of system level design on co-packaged optics, optical interconnect.
  • Knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of I/O chip, NIC, GPU, HBM requirement for electric signal processing in data center.
  • Hands-on experience with analog mixed-signal (AMS) IC development from definition to high-volume production including layout supervision, bench evaluation, correlation, and characterization.
  • Experience with Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits.
  • Proficient on coding language like Python, Matlab or C etc.
Responsibilities
  • Architecting and designing high-speed mixed-signal communication circuits using state-of-the art process technology.
  • Simulation, verification, evaluation, debugging and characterization of high-speed communication transceiver chip sets.
  • Projects also may include IC layout and silicon characterization, prepare test methods and specifications.
  • Assist in preparation of application information, data sheets and demo boards.
  • Develop solutions to moderately complex problems through assessment of various techniques and approaches.
  • Involved in routine communication with groups inside & outside Applied Materials to solve cutting-edge problems and present information as well as active participation in work groups, providing ideas and helping to achieve teamwork.
