Teamcenter System Administrator
About the job
- Install and configure Teamcenter, modules, interfaces, and integrations for upgrades or new sites across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
- Manage system configuration.
- Integrate code and configuration packages from multiple project teams into deployable packages.
- Compile and relink code to the GE standard server platform when needed.
- Provide guidance to project teams and establish rules to maintain control of custom code, including BMIDE templates, access control lists, workflows, organizations, preferences, and other Teamcenter configuration elements.
- Package and deploy GE custom code and assist project teams during unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Perform BMIDE changes across different environments as needed.
- Create OpenEdge tags and branches for different environments submitted by developers and provide Level 2 break-fix support.
- Perform Teamcenter system administration activities, including removing process and data locks and resolving other common issues.
- Perform smoke tests during monthly releases.
- Continuously improve and optimize system architecture elements, including FMS/FSC, enterprise servers and pool managers, web servers, distribution, clients, and translation servers, to improve performance and scalability.
- Participate outside business hours for production issues, technical patches, upgrades, and deployment of system changes.
- Monitor the system regularly and ensure Teamcenter services and automated scripts scheduled on server machines are running properly.
- Create and develop scripts or third-party solutions for effective system health monitoring.
- Maintain existing production scripts for application monitoring and metrics.
- Develop knowledge-base articles when knowledge transfer is unavailable.
