- At least 1 year of MRI experience is required.
- Graduate from an American Medical Association-approved radiologic technology program or MRI school.
- Hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists certification, or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification.
- Hold a current Basic Life Support certification.
- Interview and screen patients before MRI procedures to identify safety concerns and contraindications.
- Perform MRI procedures according to protocols established by radiologists.
- Begin studies, transfer images, document patient history, and complete studies in the EPIC electronic medical record and picture archiving and communication system.
- Cardiac and pediatric MRI experience is preferred but not required.
