Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and support negotiation of license agreements and management contracts that meet brand standards, working with the Senior Director to close deals.
  • Generate leads through developers, brokers, consultants, private equity investors, other operators, and government tourism bodies; qualify interest and share development packets.
  • Present the company's capabilities to prospective owners, developers, and investors through on-site visits and hosted visits to company offices.
  • Contribute to strategies for acquiring management and franchise contracts aligned with regional strategic direction and growth targets.
  • Act as liaison with Operations from signing through opening to ensure a smooth transition into the company system.
  • Gather and analyse financial capability, feasibility studies, location, and quality-of-operations data to qualify prospective projects.
  • Conduct preliminary on-site evaluations of prospective hotels.
  • Coordinate with Legal and Finance to ensure standards and legal compliance, and with Operations to confirm hotels meet brand standards.
  • Represent the company at industry events to stay current with industry trends and support brand recognition.
  • Support concept development, strategic planning, and market analysis for the region.
  • Support vision, concept planning, and storyboarding, and provide input on regional business direction.
  • Assist in developing, communicating, and monitoring strategic objectives.
  • Prepare Development team presentation materials, including decks and brand collateral, for investor conferences, internal meetings, and owner presentations.
  • Monitor go-to-market strategy and competitor activity, including field, industry, and competitor research and benchmarking, and critique existing strategy.
  • Support regional, cross-functional initiatives related to development strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
