Junior Piping Designer
About the job
- Academic or technical high school education.
- Drafting qualification, technician qualification, or technologist qualification related to the piping specialty.
- Specific professional experience of 4.1 to 8 years.
- For piping: experience using 3D design programs such as AutoCAD Plant or Smart Plant.
- For piping: ability to prepare detailed piping drawings and isometric drawings.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of key documents from other disciplines, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment and instrument data sheets, and topographic surveys.
- Basic ability to use piping material specifications (Piping Class) and P&IDs.
- Basic knowledge of piping design criteria.
- Advanced procedure-following competency.
- Average attention to detail, achievement orientation, proactivity, information analysis, effective communication, teamwork, working under pressure, and adaptability and flexibility to change.
- Advanced customer orientation.
- Ability to travel according to project or company requirements.
- Ability to register labor-hour consumption for each deliverable or activity in the company’s time tracking system; process travel requests and ensure authorization and settlement under company procedures; process vacation, leave, and license requests before taking them; attend and complete mandatory company training; and comply with the Internal Work Regulations.
- Prepare and produce project-specific plans, drawings, and diagrams using applicable knowledge, standards, and requirements to meet client and project needs within detailed work-program deadlines and required quality and compliance parameters.
- Support discipline engineers in preparing, reviewing, supplementing, or expanding generally applicable technical standards in accordance with company procedures and client requests to optimize project development.
- Participate in resolving findings from internal audits, periodic verifications, and quality-area nonconformity reports as requested by the immediate supervisor, supporting timely corrective and preventive actions and improvement activities.
- Perform the technical level 5 occupational health, safety, and environmental responsibilities specified in Annex 01 of document 000011-25AG-0017-A01.
- Perform the technical level 5 quality responsibilities specified in Annex 02 of document 000011-25AG-0017-A01.
- Basic or intermediate English proficiency.
