  • Effective communication skills with peers, learners, faculty, and other education program coordinators and managers.
  • Skills to evaluate issues and identify solutions within defined procedures and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and suggest solutions through critical thinking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical health profession and education concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote a wide range of teaching and learning goals.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing and how registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses work in various healthcare and clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated management and conflict-resolution skills to effectively lead and motivate others.
  • Three to five years of experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting or in healthcare administration.
  • Ability to provide proof of legal work authorization in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Identify new clinical sites and secure and maintain affiliation agreements.
  • Build relationships with community stakeholders and healthcare agencies.
  • Coordinate student placements, onboarding, clearance, scheduling, and compliance for clinical rotations.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, administration, and healthcare agencies.
  • Support accreditation efforts and community partner engagement and recruitment.
  • Manage databases, oversee evaluation data, and implement systems to enhance clinical education infrastructure.
  • Conduct finance and human resources management activities.
  • Perform long- and short-range strategic planning to determine the mission and direction of clinical placement activities.
  • Direct activities through subordinate support staff and peer managers or unit leads.
  • Collaborate with clinical program directors for registered nurse prelicensure programs and the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and concentrations.
  • Travel to clinical and healthcare sites around California as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of California Board of Registered Nursing licensure requirements and/or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation standards.
  • Experience with academic programs in a university setting.
  • Broad knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Broad knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, human resources and risk management planning, and/or accounting and payroll.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.
