  • A Master’s degree (required), and/or a professional doctorate (desired), and/or a Ph.D. (desired) or an equivalent terminal degree (desired) in management, business administration, aviation, finance, accounting, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Strong industry experience in one or more areas of airline management and active industry connections
  • Teaching experience with adult learners
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • A clearly defined teaching philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and mentor students from diverse backgrounds in a remote setting
  • Willing to travel as necessary for the position (approximately 5-10%)
Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate and undergraduate airline management courses with a focus on the M.S. in Airline Management degree, including an approximate teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year (1 August to 31 May), delivered mostly online using innovative technologies and delivery platforms
  • Develop, maintain, and assess courses and curricula as needed and assigned
  • Engage in service to the department, college, university, and profession
  • Willingness to travel to attend meetings and conferences (travel limited)
  • Remain current in the profession and contribute to department, college, and university activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and utilize online systems and platforms for course delivery
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in course design and development for online course delivery is preferred
  • Experience with online learning management systems is preferred
