Requirements
  • A Master’s degree is required in management, business administration, aviation, finance, accounting, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Strong industry experience in one or more areas of airline management (e.g., operations, fleet management, route planning, revenue management, sustainability, pricing, labor relations, etc.) and active industry connections
  • Teaching experience with adult learners
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • A clearly defined teaching philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and mentor students from diverse backgrounds in a remote setting
  • Willing to travel as necessary for the position (approximately 5-10%)
Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate and undergraduate airline management courses with a focus on the M.S. in Airline Management degree
  • Develop, maintain, and assess courses and curricula as needed and assigned
  • Teach with innovative academic technologies and delivery platforms almost entirely online
  • Represent the role with a strong commitment to teaching and service to the department, college, university, and profession
  • Possess a typical teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year (August 1 to May 31)
  • Be willing to travel to attend meetings and conferences (travel limited)
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional doctorate (term not specified) and/or Ph.D. in related fields (desirable)
  • Experience in course design and development for online course delivery (preferred)
  • Experience with online learning management systems (preferred)
  • Collegial professionals passionate about teaching and the aviation industry with a dynamic team orientation and flexibility
