About the job

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong technical foundations in Linux, networking, systems, and software development workflows.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably including taking them from an initial implementation to a reliable production system.
  • Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another programming language used to automate infrastructure and operational workflows.
  • Experience implementing automated testing, deployment validation, monitoring, and rollback processes.
  • A solid understanding of networking, APIs, system configuration, and distributed systems.
  • The ability to diagnose problems across application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment layers rather than treating each as an isolated domain.
  • Working knowledge of practical software and infrastructure security, including identity and access management, vulnerability management, secrets, and secure configuration.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with software engineers, technical leadership, customers, and field teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel roughly 15% domestically and internationally.
  • Curiosity, a strong learning mindset, ownership, and comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment where requirements may be ambiguous and change over time.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle from source control, builds, and testing through production and edge deployment, monitoring, upgrades, recovery, and ongoing operations.
  • Build and improve CI/CD systems that allow engineering teams to build, test, package, and release software quickly and reliably.
  • Design and automate deployments across cloud, on-premises, and distributed edge environments, including environments with limited connectivity or constrained resources.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code to create repeatable, version-controlled environments that can be deployed consistently across cloud and edge locations.
  • Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies, including configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
  • Create tooling and reliable automation to replace repetitive or fragile engineering processes.
  • Build operational capabilities for configuration management, application lifecycle management, observability, logging, health monitoring, and fleet management across distributed environments.
  • Own reliable release and recovery mechanisms, including deployment validation, rollbacks, upgrades, failure recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Partner with software engineers to improve application architecture, deployment patterns, developer workflows, testability, and operational reliability.
  • Troubleshoot problems across applications, containers, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, infrastructure, and deployment systems, and drive them to resolution.
  • Help build secure-by-default infrastructure and delivery practices, including access controls, vulnerability management, secrets management, and secure software delivery.
  • Support production systems and deployments, including participation in an on-call rotation for critical systems.
  • Help shape deployment architecture as the platform scales across distributed customer and edge environments.
  • Travel to support deployments, field operations, customer environments, and system integration activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience deploying software in distributed, on-premises, or edge environments.

About the company

Rhombus Power builds AI systems for defense and national security. Its main offering is Guardian, an AI platform that supports strategic, operational, and tactical decision-making for government agencies and defense organizations. Guardian analyzes data from operations to deliver actionable insights and recommended actions to decision-makers across command levels, and is deployed and maintained under long-term contracts. The company tailors its solutions to defense-specific needs, focusing on long-term deployments rather than one-off software, with the goal of speeding up decisions and strengthening operational capability.

Rhombus Power partners with SCSP's AI+ Expo. PR Newswire ARLINGTON, Va., April 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - The Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP), a non-partisan, non-profit project dedicated to strengthening America's long-term competitiveness in artificial intelligence (AI), announced the return of Rhombus Power as a sponsor for their third AI+ Expo, scheduled for May 7-9, 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. "We are thrilled to welcome Rhombus Power back as a partner for the 2026 AI+ Expo. As we move deeper into this decisive decade, the ability to transform massive datasets into actionable decision advantage is a national security mandate," said Ylli Bajraktari, president of SCSP. "Rhombus Power's continued support of the Expo underscores our shared commitment to accelerating the deployment of AI across the defense and national security landscape." Rhombus Power turns data into decision advantage, delivering predictive intelligence for defense and national security. Its integrated commercial data platform fuses multi-domain data with advanced AI to uncover actionable foresight at speed and scale. "The United States and our allies are no longer debating whether AI will shape national security advantage, but how quickly it can be operationalized. Speed matters. Adoption and deployment are decisive. Urgency is redefining a contest of perception, influence, and decision-making at scale at the dawn of the age of cognitive warfare. SCSP is focusing the best minds on this moment, convening leaders and ideas to ensure the U.S. and its closest partners shape the future, rather than react to it," said Anshu Roy, Founder and CEO of Rhombus Power. The three-day AI+ Expo is free to attend and aims to educate the public on AI and other emerging technologies shaping the modern world. Last year's event featured 36 sponsors, 176 exhibitors, over 500 speakers, and drew more than 15,000 attendees from 84 countries. With the show floor almost sold out, this year's Expo is expected to draw even greater participation. Register here to attend. Sponsorship for 2026 is now closed! To join the Sponsorship Waitlist for 2027 please email Hina Gir at [email protected]. To register or learn more about exhibitor opportunities, visit https://expo.scsp.ai. In addition to the Expo, SCSP will host The Exchange: Advancing the Legacy of Innovation and National Security, co-located with the Expo.
