Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Have relevant practical experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Have completed Omega training for intervention in situations involving aggression.
  • Manage stress effectively and demonstrate empathy, ethical rigor, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary crisis team.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of the mental and physical health of patients hospitalized in inpatient psychiatry.
  • Design and implement nursing care plans suited to acute or chronic psychiatric conditions.
  • Intervene preventively and safely during agitation, crisis, or clinical disorganization.
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to support patient stabilization and rehabilitation.
