OCP Global Summit 2026: Advanced Energy adds single-whip AC input option to 33 kW ORv3 HPR Power Shelf.

OCP Global Summit 2026: Advanced Energy adds single-whip AC input option to 33 kW ORv3 HPR Power Shelf. New connection option enables rack designs optimized for a single AC feed to each power shelf, with multiple shelves operating in parallel to deliver 100 kW or more for AI data center and high-performance computing racks. Advanced Energy Industries Inc. a player in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement, and control solutions, launched a single-whip option for its 33 kW ORv3 High-Power Rack (HPR) power shelf at the 2026 OCP Global Summit. The option provides one AC power connection per shelf, with separate left- and right-side input configurations to accommodate different data center rack layouts. "Power delivery into IT racks has been planned around a facility's AC distribution and its computing load," said Conor Quinn, VP, marketing, high volume products, Advanced Energy. "The position of the AC feed affects cable routing and rack layout. Offering engineers a choice of input location enables them to account for these design constraints in their system design work." The shelf accommodates six 5.5 kW power supply modules in one Open Rack Unit (1OU) form factor. A fully populated shelf delivers 33 kW without redundancy or 27.5 kW with N+1 power-module redundancy. The modules are hot-swappable. Multiple shelves can operate in parallel to power racks requiring 100 kW or more, supporting AI and high-performance computing applications. Customers can select from multiple monitoring and control options, including an Ethernet-based controller compatible with DMTF Redfish. As always, Advanced Energy's global field application engineering team provides responsive technical support. Product specifications and more information are available here. Advanced Energy's ORv3 HPR Power Shelf family has been supporting a range of needs since 2023.

Advanced Energy launches Centra Smart Hub, boosting wafer temperature accuracy by up to 40%

Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) launched the Centra Smart Hub on October 13, 2026, at SEMICON West in San Francisco. The hub supports up to eight sensors for non-contact temperature measurement in space-constrained semiconductor equipment. Paired with the company's new Remote Smart Sensors, it measures wafer temperature more accurately in lamp-heated silicon and silicon carbide processes, such as rapid thermal annealing and epitaxial growth. Advanced Energy says accuracy improves by up to 40% over standard solutions at temperatures up to 1700°C. Infrared lamps can saturate traditional near-infrared pyrometers. The new system measures at different wavelengths to avoid that signal. The hub sits in an instrument rack and connects to sensors mounted on the chamber. It includes embedded ECAT and Ethernet protocols for integration into existing system architectures.
