Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus a minimum of four years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resilience, and program and case management, or 10 years of practical experience.
  • Experience in instructing and briefing skills, which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including many weekends when state units are conducting training Suicide and Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator (State Level).
  • Ability to pass a background check and be eligible to obtain a Contractor Common Access Card (CAC).
Responsibilities
  • Provide information briefings quarterly on state- and national-level substance abuse and suicide prevention.
  • Input substance abuse prevention and suicide prevention training and applicable information into the Drug and Alcohol Management Information System and ALURRT within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Electronically report all scheduled substance abuse prevention and suicide prevention training within 48 hours of training completion.
  • Input all assessment, referral, and treatment data of Service Members into the Drug and Alcohol Management Information System within 24 hours of appointment and update referral and treatment data as required by treatment plans or schedules.
  • Coordinate and conduct substance abuse prevention training, including annual prevention training, targeted prevention training, and ADAPT training and certifications, and suicide prevention training, including annual prevention training and ACE-SI, for Service Members, families, and Army National Guard units in accordance with AR 600-85 and AR 350-53.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • It is highly desirable that the contractor have managerial and/or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention programs.
  • Previous experience working with the National Guard or similar organizations.
  • Advanced certifications or training in related fields.
