Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience, is required.
  • Two to five years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects is required.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, building information modeling, and construction management are required.
  • The candidate must be able to identify and resolve complex issues and make independent decisions.
  • The candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions with company personnel, trade partners, designers, and clients.
  • The candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills and be able to maintain accurate, detailed records.
  • The candidate must understand internal and external team roles and responsibilities.
  • The candidate must be able to read drawings and specifications.
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively in team environments.
  • Strong computer skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, install, start up, and commission key mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
  • Coordinate the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing model for assigned projects.
  • Guide the processing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing submittals.
  • Provide expertise on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related requests for information.
  • Track mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction progress.
  • Organize start-up and commissioning documentation.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to close punch-list items.
  • Serve as a professional role model for interns, project engineers, senior project engineers, and new assistant MEP coordinators.
  • Identify and prioritize mechanical, electrical, and plumbing information for the project management team during preconstruction.
  • Initiate and schedule three-dimensional model coordination for assigned projects.
  • Own mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related methods of procedure and cutover activities for assigned projects.
  • Own commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and the commissioning agent.
  • Prioritize and schedule vendor start-up and commissioning.
  • Initiate and organize mechanical, electrical, and plumbing client training.
  • Use the company's established systems and technology efficiently and to required standards.
  • Promote the company's safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, enforce a safe work environment, and attend safety meetings.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades and technical knowledge of construction methods are preferred.
  • The ability to navigate three-dimensional modeling software is preferred.
