Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience developing software in the context of Geographic Information Systems.
- Experience developing in multiple programming languages and with SQL in Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience developing web applications and device-native solutions such as extract, transform, and load processes, thick clients, or mobile applications.
- At least 3 years of experience developing HTML5 web applications using HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript, and JavaScript Object Notation or Extensible Markup Language.
- At least 3 years of experience developing with web server technologies including Apache, PHP, and command-line tools.
- At least 3 years of experience defining SQL queries, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
- At least 3 years of experience developing in a Geographic Information Systems context.
- At least 2 years of experience managing and interfacing with Geographic Information Systems server technologies including ArcServer, ArcSDE, GeoServer, and MapServer.
- A solid foundation in Geographic Information Systems fundamentals, including coordinate systems and projections, coordinate transformations, topological relationships, and spatial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain scripted automations between servers and databases.
- Develop and maintain Geographic Information Systems web applications.
- Manage databases.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with open-source Geographic Information Systems development using the GDAL/OGR suite, Leaflet, OpenLayers, MapBox, Carto, GeoServer, or MapServer.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience developing mobile applications.
- Intermediate or greater experience developing Geographic Information Systems applications using technologies not listed above.
