Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in admissions, college counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively, are required.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a willingness to work with diverse populations are required.
  • A valid United States driver's license is required.
  • A driving record that meets rental car agency standards is required.
  • Willingness and ability to drive to various locations using a rental vehicle is required.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and select students and fulfill the enrollment objectives set by the University.
  • Read and evaluate undergraduate applications in alignment with training protocol, individually or as part of a team, and actively participate in selection committees.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual information sessions for prospective students, families, school and community-based organization counselors, and the general public.
  • Serve as the on-campus point of contact for visitors.
  • Communicate with students, families, school and organization counselors, and the general public through in-person conversations, email, phone, or blogs.
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives, including college fairs and high school visits.
  • Contribute to project-based work supporting portfolios such as communications, access and outreach, recruitment, selection, international, and events.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to gain a broad understanding of the admissions profession and the specific goals of Tufts Admissions.
  • Complete other assigned projects and duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, such as Slate, is preferred.
