Help A Child Smile delivers mobile dental care directly in Georgia schools, serving 125 districts to reach underserved students. A team of licensed dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants operates a temporary, fully equipped dental office inside schools to provide preventive and restorative pediatric dentistry, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride, sealants, fillings, crowns, extractions, and pulpotomies. Services are billed to insurance providers, with Medicaid and PeachCare often covering costs; private insurance and self-pay options are available, making care easier for families by removing transportation and time-off-work barriers. The program also emphasizes education, giving students a dental report card and a free toothbrush while partnering with Georgia school districts to improve access and reduce unmet dental needs.
