Requirements
  • College students working towards a degree in computer science, business intelligence, or web content management. Applicants should be in their junior or higher year and plan to continue working toward a degree.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Demonstrated passion for software development and/or testing.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Software Development, Quality Assurance, or User Experience principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and understand code used in typical frameworks.
  • Experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and writing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows platform (server and workstation).
  • Basic understanding of computer networking (tcp/ip, routing, windows domains).
  • Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Responsibilities
  • design tests used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements
  • develop validation strategies
  • implement test plans
  • create the supporting test automation
  • identify and investigate issues found during testing
  • work closely with software developers, software quality engineers, and a designated buddy to resolve issues
  • develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing while working on leading edge technology and toolsets
