About the job
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in operations or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Three to five years of experience within a Soft Services or Environmental Services environment in a healthcare environment is a strong asset.
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Initiative, good judgment, leadership abilities, and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to develop and implement budgetary guidelines for all departments.
- Completion of a Criminal Background Check for the vulnerable sector.
- New hires working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and senior homes must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and other new hires may also be required to be fully vaccinated based on the location and scope of employment.
- Oversee all Soft Services, Environmental Services, and administration functions for an assigned region of 10 to 12 accounts.
- Assist the General Manager and support the client as a hands-on leader.
- Lead, develop, motivate, direct, and supervise frontline and supervisory employees.
- Assign work to employees based on client and service requirements.
- Perform audits to ensure client standards are followed.
- Ensure proper training and provide recommendations or remedial training as required.
- Maintain and track inventory levels of supplies and related costs, and recommend the quantity and timing of supply orders.
- Dispatch and prioritize work assignments within the assigned area or shift to meet client needs and contract expectations.
- Oversee, plan, and ensure completion of special-project cleaning assignments.
- Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop employees and supervisors to ensure they are appropriately trained and follow proper procedures.
- Ensure completion of safety training and compliance.
- Audit performance, provide or arrange new and remedial training, conduct coaching discussions, and perform performance management and discipline as required.
- Participate in hiring and staffing for the area of responsibility to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Maintain adequate supply levels and distribution of consumables and equipment.
- Maintain and report inventory levels and provide recommendations on alternative options, order quantities, and order timing.
- Participate in implementing environmental service program plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental service programs and provide reports and recommendations regarding plan adjustments or additional requirements.
- Perform daily safety checks and inspections, safety observations, safety walks, safety training, and safety investigations.
- Complete reporting on safety-related tasks and ensure compliance within the IMS system for training and physical safety tasks.

Sodexo has signed an agreement to acquire CRH Catering, a leading convenience sector operator in the Mid-Atlantic U.S., to enhance its InReach convenience offering.
