Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or another related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, who is happy to work in a cross functional role with a matrix of stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully completing complex projects on time and within budget
  • Proven experience (that you can talk about!) in managing and aligning the requirements of multiple teams and stakeholders, and dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Portadown every day
  • Knowledge of heating / HVAC technology or similar industries is a big plus
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between the manufacturing team and the Octopus Centre for Heating Technology (OCHT) R&D team
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the manufacturing site and the R&D team to drive project success, conducting regular meetings and holding both teams accountable for project goals and progress
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during New Product Introduction, with an emphasis on Design for Manufacture
  • Implement improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality
  • Manage engineering change requirements for product design within the manufacturing process
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and resolve product and other mechanical/electrical engineering-related issues
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, decisions, and changes
