Requirements
  • Ability to operate precision manual machinery and equipment such as lathes, milling machines and drill presses.
  • Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to fabricate custom parts from steel, aluminum, and bronze.
  • Perform precision measurements using gauges and hand tools to meet exact tolerance requirements.
  • Carefully select and align fixtures, tools, and materials on machines to ensure safety/accuracy.
  • Set up and perform various machining operations, including turning, boring, and facing.
  • 3+ years’ experience operating manual machines or a degree in Precision Machining.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and general fabrication equipment with a high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with thread chasing (metric and standard) and knowledge of drill presses, band saws and metal presses.
  • Able to stand for extended periods in a workshop environment.
  • Perform regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
