About the job
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases.
- Experience with C#, Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively in oral and written form with department employees.
- Ability to learn new software systems and programming languages by studying available references.
- Ability to work well with a variety of people.
- Develop and enhance applications based on established design specifications.
- Perform analysis, design, coding, and component or assembly testing of application code owned by the Application Team.
- Implement configuration changes to software applications to meet functional and technical requirements.
- Write application software and perform data analysis, data access, data structure, data manipulation, database, design, programming, testing, implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversion, and maintenance activities, including production support.
- Conduct unit testing of applications and develop system and user documentation.
- Perform website and intranet maintenance duties and communicate with customers.
- Assist with light programming duties on departmental systems and advance their capabilities.
- Experience using Team Foundation Server.
- Knowledge and experience with a modern Systems Development Life Cycle methodology such as Scrum or Agile.
