- At least three years of relevant experience in water treatment.
- Training in water treatment through AEC, DEP, DEC, BTS, or BTS-A, or a diploma in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in written and spoken French.
- Supervise and control treatment processes.
- Inspect plant structures and complete the plant-operation checklist.
- Monitor and inspect plant facilities and equipment to detect failures and ensure normal system operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on treatment equipment.
- Supervise receipt of chemical reagents and track their consumption.
- Collect samples, perform laboratory analyses, interpret results, and adjust the treatment process as needed to ensure treated water meets standardized quality requirements.
- Manage and distribute team tasks as needed.
- Lead daily team meetings.
- Inspect, inventory, and dispose of residual hazardous materials at surrounding sites.
- Complete and maintain the plant activity log.
- Prepare regulatory reports and other documents required to track discharge requirements and standards.
- Provide on-call coverage from Monday through Sunday, prepare the monthly schedule, and intervene as needed in the event of equipment anomalies.
- Participate in and complete wastewater-treatment improvement projects and other projects.
- Experience in municipal and industrial water-treatment plants.
- Experience tracking preventive and corrective maintenance.
