Requirements

A CA fresher, or a CA semi-qualified candidate with 5 or more years of experience in a medium or large manufacturing industry, global capability center, center of excellence, or accounting function. The posting also lists a minimum of 1–2 years’ experience.
Knowledge of the Companies Act 2013, Indian Accounting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards, and Securities and Exchange Board of India regulations.
Experience handling an annual audit under International Financial Reporting Standards or Indian Accounting Standards.
Experience with the SAP Financial Accounting system is required.

Responsibilities

Close and report general ledger accounts, ensuring timely closing of entity books and monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting.
Post monthly journal entries and provisions for key profit-and-loss and balance-sheet items.
Control and review general ledger accounting, including maintaining and controlling the chart of accounts.
Implement new accounting policies and standards under Indian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
Conduct monthly fiscal reviews with the Record to Report Head and Corporate Financial Controller, and perform monthly balance-sheet reviews.
Review and finalize quarterly statutory financial statements under Indian Accounting Standards; facilitate statutory and group audits with external auditors; prepare financial statements under Schedule III of the Companies Act 2013; collaborate with business teams to close audit items; obtain external audits of accounts; and prepare financial-account deliverables for Board meetings.
Plan monthly closing activities, coordinate with teams across the legal entity, ensure timely closure of all sub-ledgers after entries are posted, and prepare and circulate monthly accounting schedules.
Ensure fiscal governance and internal controls, document processes, and close internal audit points.
Participate in special projects related to finance control and process improvements.

Desired Qualifications

Basic understanding of robotic process automation, blockchain, or Power BI.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :
1) Responsible for GL closing and reporting. Timely closure of books of Accounts of the entities and reporting on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.

2) Ensure Journal entries/ provisions are posted on monthly basis for key items on P&L and B/S

3) Control & Review General Ledger Accounting including maintenance and control over chart of accounts

4) Ensure implementation of new accounting policies / standards as per IND AS & IFRS

5) Ensure fiscal reviews on a monthly basis with the Record to report Head , Corporate Financial controller & Monthly balance sheet reviews

6) Review and Finalization of Statutory Financials quarterly as per IND AS:

a. Facilitating audit by the External Auditors (statutory and group audit)

b. Preparation of Financial Statements as per Sch III of the Companies Act 2013

c. Collaborate with business teams to close the Audit open points

d. Responsible for getting the Accounts Audited by External Auditors

e. Handling preparation for Board meeting related deliverables with reference to Financial Accounts

7) Month end closing activities as per financial closing cockpit

a. Planning the monthly closing activities, Co-ordination with various teams from the LE

b. Ensure all sub-ledgers are closed on time after posting of all entries

c. Preparation of monthly accounting schedules and circulation of the same

8) Ensure fiscal governance and internal controls including documentation of process, which includes closing IA audit points

9) Participation in special projects relating to Finance control & process improvements .

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

CA/CMA

Experience :CA Fresher, Minimum 1-2 Years’ experience, CA Semi-qualified with 5+ years in medium or large manufacturing Industry, GCC, COE in accounting functions.

Knowledge on Companies Act 2013, Ind AS, IFRS, SEBI Regulations

Must have handled Year’s Annual Audit as per IFRS / Ind AS.

Exposure of SAP – FI system is must.

Basic understanding of new age technologies like RPA, blockchain, PowerBi will be an added advantage
