About the job

Requirements
  • Have 10 or more years of finance experience within high-growth, venture-backed technology companies.
  • Have helped build finance inside a Series A, B, or C business rather than only operating inside a mature organization.
  • Have personally built forecasting models, board packs, and financial plans.
  • Have supported fundraising, investor due diligence, or venture capital reporting.
  • Have significant experience with financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Have worked directly with founders or executive leadership where finance was part of major strategic discussions.
  • Be able to explain complex financial concepts simply and influence leaders without finance backgrounds.
Responsibilities
  • Own the financial architecture of the business.
  • Build financial models, planning processes, and operating cadence to help leadership make decisions.
  • Design finance to scale ahead of business needs.
  • Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Build integrated operating models covering revenue, hiring, burn, runway, headcount, infrastructure investment, and growth scenarios.
  • Work with founders on major company decisions; challenge assumptions and pressure-test investment decisions; and provide financial clarity to leadership.
  • Own financial interactions with the Board and investors, prepare board packs and investor presentations, and support fundraising, due diligence, and investor financial requests.
  • Manage company cash, build cash flow forecasts, model fundraising scenarios, and monitor burn multiple, runway, hiring capacity, and investment priorities.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to evaluate pricing and commercial opportunities, analyze customer profitability and unit economics, develop decision-making dashboards, and connect financial and operational performance.
  • Own accounting oversight, payroll, reporting, controls, and governance; strengthen systems, automate reporting, improve operational efficiency, manage external auditor, tax adviser, banking partner, and provider relationships, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Initially contribute as a hands-on individual contributor, then build the finance function and hire, mentor, and develop finance talent as the business grows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Having helped scale a venture-backed business through multiple funding rounds.
  • Having built board reporting that explains the business as well as its numbers.
  • Having partnered directly with CEOs or founders on company strategy, capital allocation, and long-term planning.
  • Having built finance functions from the ground up, including selecting systems, establishing reporting rhythms, and creating scalable processes.
  • Understanding SaaS, AI, or enterprise software economics, including ARR, gross margin, retention, customer acquisition economics, and unit economics.
  • Having implemented ERP or FP&A platforms such as NetSuite, Pigment, Mosaic, or Anaplan.
  • Holding a CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA.

About the company

Loop AI offers a subscription-based back-office platform for multi-location restaurants to manage third-party delivery finances. The platform automates reconciliation of orders from DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub, breaking each order into line items such as commissions, marketing, taxes, and chargebacks, and automates bookkeeping with a real-time sales dashboard and chargeback tools. It uses AI to scan customer feedback to identify operational issues, helping managers address problems like order inaccuracies. Its goal is to reduce accounting time, improve margins, and recover revenue by making delivery-driven finances transparent and easier to manage.

What believers are saying

  • Loop raised $14 million Series A from Nyca Partners in February 2026.
  • It claims more than 300 brands and thousands of locations by February 2026.
  • Lazy Dog and Starbird cited roughly 10% growth using Loop workflows.

What critics are saying

  • Restaurant365 and Restroworks already cover accounting, operations, and POS integration.
  • DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub can change APIs, breaking Loop’s automation.
  • If margin savings disappoint, chains will revert to in-house accounting and spreadsheets.

What makes Loop AI unique

  • Agentic back-office workflows replace spreadsheets for restaurant delivery finance and operations.
  • Live in hours, not weeks, reducing implementation drag for multi-unit operators.
  • Founders previously ran a delivery-only restaurant, giving them operator credibility.
