Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow the sales of all Xylem brands/products and services into the Irrigation and Sports Turf market.
  • Supporting our existing channels both direct and in-direct and developing our future strategy.
  • Work closely with all FSE’s in each respective sales area to assist, support and grow sales.
  • Leverage these relationships to identify mutually beneficial ventures in-line with the sales strategy.
  • Work in close co-operation with the wider Xylem UK sales team, Commercial Managers, Sales Managers and other field sales engineers, identifying the sales growth opportunities in line with Xylem Water Solutions Strategy.
  • Work closely with the product management at our factories to help update and deliver information around the Irrigation specific product strategy, including delivering training and support to the external sales team FSE’s.
  • Develop relationships with key brands such as (Toro Rainbird Hunter etc.) to help provide best in class options for our products and services including digital solutions to integrate into wider irrigation systems.
  • Develop, drive and maintain Account plans for key regions to ensure they are being followed by the business in order to drive growth and sustain the relationships, thus tying them closer to Xylem.
  • Analyse sales data and arrange your activities in accordance with needs to grow the business within your identified areas of responsibility.
  • Identify customers for incremental sales opportunities in each sales area.
  • Liaise closely with other Area Sales Manager’s and Field Sales Engineers to ensure cross-communication of ideas and successes and, where appropriate carry out joint visits to support Field sales Engineers to gain incremental business in to identified sectors we wish to target.
  • Research and maintain market intelligence, including information on competitors and price levels to assist in day-to-day decisions and the formulation of strategy and budget planning, all related to the allocated target markets and products.
  • Produce timely and credible forecast information for any specific irrigation product sales and ensure key metrics and KPI are met and communicated.
  • Assist the sales team in proactively working to investigate and resolve account conflicts and escalate where necessary within the customer base of responsibility.
  • Update, maintain, review and work utilising the Xylem CRM System called Salesforce, updating and chasing quotations within your area of responsibility.
