CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Independently conducts operational assessments to identify root causes, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.

2. Leads current-state and future-state workflow assessments using process mapping, stakeholder interviews, direct observation, and data analysis.

3. Develops comprehensive improvement plans, implementation roadmaps, and measurable success metrics.

4. Facilitates cross-functional working sessions to evaluate findings, build consensus, and advance operational initiatives.

5. Analyzes operational, financial, quality, service, and productivity data to support improvement recommendations.

6. Develops process redesign recommendations addressing people, process, technology, and organizational factors.

7. Leads implementation activities and monitors progress toward targeted outcomes.

8. Establishes performance baselines, develops KPIs, and evaluates operational results.

9. Identifies operational risks, barriers, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. 10. Leads stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and change management efforts.

11. Develops executive summaries, recommendations, business cases, and presentations.

12. Conducts benchmarking and best-practice research to support future-state design.

13. Monitors post-implementation performance and recommends corrective actions when needed.

14. Influences cross-functional stakeholders to establish accountability and achieve project objectives.

15. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Certification and Licensing:
Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements

Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required

- Lean Six Sigma and/or Training or experience in Lean Process Improvement strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.

- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.

- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.

- Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
