Anno.Ai develops AI and machine learning software for defense and national security. Its platform Anno Fusion correlates data from multiple sensor sources to establish a clear ground truth and enables rapid, self-service creation of high-quality training data by domain experts. The company primarily works under federal contracts and SBIR programs, delivering R&D and prototype deployments in intelligence analysis, media data processing, and flight training optimization, and it also serves as a subcontractor. A key differentiator is its focus on cross-sensor data fusion and hands-on testing infrastructure like the Lake Superior Test Range for autonomous maritime vehicles to accelerate readiness of autonomous defense technology.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Air Force awarded $1.23 million for Echodome in August 2025.
  • HigherGov still lists Anno.Ai's August 2025 award as active in 2026.
  • VCBacked tracked a February 2025 funding round, signaling continued capital access.

What critics are saying

  • Anno.Ai's federal dependence concentrates revenue risk inside Air Force SBIR cycles.
  • HigherGov shows no broader contract base beyond one 2025 award.
  • Without non-defense customers, a lost AFRL renewal can choke the company by 2027.

What makes Anno.Ai unique

  • Anno.Ai pairs multimodal data fusion with self-service annotation for defense operators.
  • Air Force SBIR awards from 2019-2025 validate mission-specific workflow depth.
  • Echodome, awarded August 2025, targets passive acoustic early warning threat detection.
